Model number
The model number is the most difficult information to find. Yet, it is very important that you get this right or you might end up with the wrong solution. Where can it be found?
On washing machines:
The information can generally be found on the control panel of the washing machine. The Brand is normally very prominent while the Model number is less prominent. So you have to look very carefully!
You should never use a model number from the handbook, if there are more than one set of numbers. Remember you want information that is specific to your machine, not just any machine.
If you cannot find the model number on the control panel, try looking on the inside of the door and around the area where the door closes. It is normally on a label and will say Mod. or Model. It may also be found inside the filter door on some machines. Here, it is also on a label and will say mod. or model. If you can't find the Model number, go back and do a more detailed inspection. The correct solution depends on the correct model number and that information can be found somewhere on the appliance.

Bosch, Neff and Siemens dishwashers

On tumble dryers:
The information can be found generally on the control panel of tumble dryers. It can also be found around the area where the door closes or on the door itself.
Bosch, Neff and Siemens tumble dryers
The model number is the E-NR number and only the first 9 or 10 digits (that between the E-NR and the /) are required.
On fridges/freezers:
The information can be found generally on the interior walls of the fridge section. Sometimes it is hidden in the area of the perishable compartments.
Bosch, Neff and Siemens refrigerators
The model number is the E-NR number and only the first 9 or 10 digits (that between the E-NR and the /) are required.
On cookers:
The information can be found on the control panel but generally around the framed area of the door.
Bosch, Neff and Siemens cookers

It is clear then that every appliance has a model number to clearly identify it from any other. Hence, we ensure the faults are those specific to that appliance.
